Post Can Acai Actually Help Cure Cancer
I've read somewhere that acai can cure cancer. I'm wondering whether it is another one of those bogus claims that so many people enjoy making in order to sell their product?

Acai contains loads of antioxidants.

I've done a little bit of research into this, and I found this really interesting study from the University of Florida: Acai Study.

There's no real evidence that Acai can cure cancer, but the study does tell us that acai kills cancer cells in the lab tests. Pretty interesting article, and a pretty interesting result.

Four of the extracts were shown to kill significant numbers of leukemia cells when applied for 24 hours. Depending on the extract and concentration, anywhere from about 35 percent to 86 percent of the cells died.
