Acai is a fruit not a drug.

There is a lot of misconception about acai. One of the most surprising, and one that I see a lot of is that people think it is a drug. It's a fruit. I've seen it with my own eyes (that was an adventure, let me tell you!).

Most capsules are just the powdered extract from the fruit itself.

If you are unsure and you do not trust the capsule form then why not just get a juice or a puree?

If you have questions about acai then by all means ask away, but please remember it is just a very delicious, very nutritious fruit which provides a whole range of goodness for your body. Nothing more, and nothing less!

It's confusing

The stuff comes in capsules and the instructions are to take it so many times per day. That sounds pretty much like a drug to me!

I think the dosage and frequencies associated with acai supplements are more to ensure that you get the most out of them rather than to avoid any overdose!

It grows on trees! It's safe!

It depends on how you purchase the product. If you purchase inorganic acai supplements or pills you may get some harmful substances in them.

A lot of additives are used to keep a product from spoiling among other things.

Just look at the organic free dried products. They contain the most nutrients.
