Weight Loss: Does it actually work?
I've heard mixed reports about whether or not acai works for weight loss. Anyone got any proof?

Re: Weight Loss: Does it actually work?
The acai berry and acai berry products are a good, natural way to aid you losing weight and staying healthy, especially if you combine it with proper diet and exercise.
Acai contains lots of nutrition that helps your metabolism. There are suggestions that it might also suppress hunger. In addition to this it gives you more energy which, in turn, means you burn more fat.
Acai is not a miracle drug, and it won't make you thin on its own. It is a great way -- combined with an exercise regime and a healthy diet -- to get you on the right road, though.

A friend of mine start on a diet with an acai component last year. She has lost 14 pounds in a few months. She was just sensible about exercise and nutrition, and took acai supplements regularly with meals.

Worked for me.
The thing to remember is that acai can't do it on its own. You need to be careful about your diet and do some exercise, too. Acai just makes it A LOT easier.

Re: Weight Loss: Does it actually work?
I have been trying to lose weight all my life. When I reached 328lbs. I truely believed there was no hope for me. I happened to see a program on t.v. about the Acai Berry. Being curious I googled Acai Berry to find out more information. Well it said it was one of the best antioxidents, and was also good for losing weight. A few weeks past by and I happened to visit a local health food store. There I saw a bottle of Acai Berry juice. Well, I figured I would try it out and if I didn't lose the weight at least it probally would be good for the vitamins. A very expensive drink but the results for me were phenominal. After weighing in at 328lbs. at my regular physicians office two weeks after I seen a specialist for a bump by my belly button, that was a rupture anyways I weighed 314lbs. I had lost 14lbs. in two weeks. Then about three weeks after that visit I seen a pain management specialist about my left leg which I had injured in 2002. That weigh in was 288lbs. I was totally in static about this weight lost since I started drinking the Acai juice as directed on the bottle for about a month and half I lost 40lbs. The cost of the Acai was no longer an issue. Just like many others, I have tried everything to lose weight in the past and nothing was as easy as this drinking the Acai juice. I did not change my diet and I could not exercise due to my left leg injury. I forgot to mention that all scales were the professional balance beam type so the lost of weight was not due to different types of scales. I will post again to let all know the next weigh in at the doctors office. Really excited about this cause its working for me and hope it will be the same for others. Aloha from a berry happy person.

Has anyone tried the Isotonic Acai? It's a powdered form. It's a product I sell and I'm not sure how much to take of it because we promote it as an all natural energy booster. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Re: Weight Loss: Does it actually work?
Oh, I know exactly how much to take for the benefits provide for energy... we don't promote it as a weightloss tool. We recommend you take one level cap full in 2 oz of water. This fluid is then isotonic.. same pressure as our tears, blood, etc. so that within 10 minutes it's released into the small intestine and is immediately absorbed. What I'm asking, since I haven't gotten any of those free samples everyone is peddling, is what is the potency ratio? How MUCH Acai do they recommend you take? Just curious. Thanks.
